Dylan was lying alone in his room. All of his windows were blacked out and there was loud music playing. Dylan was crying heavily releasing loud sobs that were quite easily drowned out by the music. He was staring up at the ceiling tears streaming down his face. How could Henrietta lie to him like that? She had told Dylan that she loved him and nobody else! Henri had not only been dating Kenny McCormick but she had slept with every single one of his friends, including that fatass Cartman, and worst of all Dylan had to be told by Henrietta's little brother. Dylan sobbed louder and flipped over burying his face in his pillow. He felt broken and in a way like he was lost. He lifted his head and looked at the black cased pillow. Dylan sighed and reached inside the pillowcase. He felt around till finally he had found it. He removed his hand from the pillowcase grasped tightly around a tiny red velvety heart-shaped box. The box was used to give Dylan the silver ring with a dagger on it years ago, the same ring that never ever left his hand. In the box were two things a folded picture of Dylan and his old best friend Mike Makowski, and a heavily used razorblade. Dylan carefully slipped off his oversized black t-shirt and walked across the room to look at himself in the mirror. Dylan was so thin you could see his ribs, and covered in scars. Some were self-inflicted most were from the abuse of his step-father.  There were thick grey-black stains running down the sides of Dylan's face. He pressed the sharp razor into his chest where hiss pulse felt strongest and carved a heart deep into his chest. Blood poured from it like a waterfall drenching the towel he had pressed to it. Dylan quickly bandaged it up so that he didn't stain the conformist carpet. None of the others in the group knew about his at home life not even Henrietta/ Henrietta was his girlfriend for almost two years but Dylan felt that it was right to have ended it when he did. Dylan's phone started to vibrate on the bedside table. Dylan turned the music down and looked to see who it is. "Georgie" was written across the glowing screen. Dylan sighed and pressed the "accept call" button. "Dylan Alexander the Depressed Red Goth how may I help you?" Dylan pulled the phone slightly away from his ear "Dyl! Mintberry Midget just told me about what Henri did! I'm so sorry she did that to you Dyl. Are you ok? He said he told Evan too." Georgie being his best friend was simply worried for me. He sighed quietly again trying to think of what to say. "Georgie, why would she do that to me? How could Henri have lied to me?" there was only silence for a minute. "Do you want to meet up at Denny's when at sunset? It'll just be you and me and Evan." He was hesitant but responded "fine but only if it'll just be us guys." Georgie automatically replied "of course Dyl" Dylan changed clothes quickly as the sun was about to set in the sky. Dylan cleaned the black tear marks from his face. He had to make it so that he wouldn't die of frostbite in the stupid conformist world that he hated. Dylan wrapped hid red fleece scarf tight around his neck and put on his thick black hoodie. Dylan walked up the basement stairs and past his screaming stepfather and out the door slamming it behind him. We walked out onto the streets for the mile long hike through the snow to Denny's. Dylan looked up at the snow falling from the lavender lit sky. He knew it winter was coming to South Park. When Dylan got to Denny's Evan and Georgie were already outside waiting for him and smoking a cigarette. Dylan faintly smiled at the only friends he had left. He ran to them and snatched the small cigarette from Evan's mouth taking a drag and then giving it back. "Hey Dyl." Evan and Georgie said simultaneously. They both blushed. Nobody else could really see it but Dylan knew the oldest Goth and the youngest Goth liked each other in a stupid conformist yet kinda cute way. Dylan smiled slightly. He liked being around the other boys in the group. Evan took the last drag of his cigarette. Evan looked at Dylan "Come on kid let's get you some coffee" Dylan didn't know it but there were tears running down his face even as he smiled. Little Georgie put out his cigarette and shoved it in his pocket. They went to their usual dark corner booth of the restaurant. Their usual cranky obese waitress walked up to them slamming four cups on the flimsy wooden table. "Where's that stupid fat bitch that is usually with you?" Dylan looked up at her from his seat "She won't be joining us for a while." Still unbeknown to Dylan he was crying. The waitress looked at the thin red-haired Goth who she had hated so much in the past. She was shocked that he didn't make some smartass comment but even more that he of all people was crying. She felt a sick form of pity for the emerald eyed Goth. She went and grabbed the entire pot of hazelnut coffee placing it on the table. "This one's on me Hun. And call me Maria." The woman smiled at the red Goth in a hope to cheer him up. Dylan did his best to smile back. The night went on and at around nine thirty Georgie got a call and had to go home. Not too long after that Evan got a text from his father and went home too. Maria was on her break and sat down at the table with the now lonely Dylan. "Why are you crying kid?" Maria asked sincerely.  Dylan looked up from his phone after he had got done rereading all of the stupid conformist love letters he had written to Henrietta. "Maria, you know that girl who is usually with us? Well she was my girlfriend. Her little brother had told me that she has slept with almost every boy in the fourth grade. She lied to me and broke my heart. I couldn't continue to date her knowing that so I had to break up with her earlier today." Maria looked deep into the sad emerald eyes of the kid she used to hate so much. She reached over and hugged him. "Kid is there something else that's bothering you?" Maria had felt like something else had bothered the young boy as he sobbed in her arms. Dylan composed himself the best he could before he whispered in her ear. "My stepdad abuses me and my mom. I get beat worse for protecting her and yelled at by my mom for defying him." Maria was shocked that this kid that usually seemed so composed could be abused. She hugged him tight. "I want you to know if you ever need somewhere to go I'll be here. I work here from six till six." Dylan smiled and whipped his tears on his sleeve. "Maria I have to go home now please don't worry I'll be back tomorrow." Dylan walked out of the Denny's and began walking the long way home not wanting to be yelled at by his drunk mother. He walked into the long dark alley that leads to the back door of his house. Dylan heard a deep low growl not far behind him and he began to run. Not paying too much attention to his surroundings Dylan tripped over a rock. Dylan hit his head on the ground and cut open the side of his face. He flipped over to see the glowing red eyes of his attacker. Dylan tried to get up but he felt sharp pain in his ankle. He gasped and closed his eyes as he thought his life was over.
yeah a bad beginning is an understatement for this story
